Student Romson, born in the Philippines, said that he felt a lot of male competition in Nicaragua, but also noticed he wasn’t every really spoken to that often. Maybe it was his look - shaved head and tattoo - that made people think he was a gangster. He embraced the pre-judgment, even though he is an artist. But, like a real gangster, he made little dolls out of newspaper, wire and felt with the kids.
