Additional Deposits and Expenses
- Non-refundable tuition deposit: $80
- Homestay $90/week/person
- Airport Transfers from Managua. The airport transfer fee is $35 per trip for individuals. Please add $10 each for one or two additional people traveling together. Special group rates are available for larger groups.
Payment
We offer several payment options for tuition, registration fees, homestay and airport transportation costs:

2. If you prefer you can pay for your tuition, registration fees, and airport transportation when you arrive at Casa Xalteva or on your first day of class. You can also pay your homestay family at the beginning of each week. Casa Xalteva and the families can only accept cash, in US dollars or Nicaraguan Córdobas. You can carry travelers’ checks and cash them in any bank in Granada. There are also convenient ATM machines in Granada that take Visa or Mastercard. There are vendors on the street in downtown Granada during daylight hours who can exchange Dollars and Córdobas. Most are honest, but make sure you know the current exchange rate (which can vary from day to day) and count your money in front of them. You can also change money in banks, but you may have to wait in long lines.
3. If you want to pay for your classes and transportation in advance, you can write a check or money order to Casa Xalteva, and mail it to P.O. Box 4542, Albuquerque, NM 87196. Make sure you allow time for the payment to arrive before you get to Granada, and please E-mail us (info@casaxalteva.org) so we will be expecting your payment.
